CVE-2022-20530Network attack vector

Call-log disclosure via misleading Bluetooth sharing label

Published Dec 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 18, 2025

Information disclosure in Android 13 Framework allows physically proximate attackers to read call logs through Bluetooth PBAP. The PBAP profile toggle in SettingsLib labels the permission only as "Contact sharing" even though enabling it also shares call history with the paired remote device. A paired Bluetooth device receives the call history without further privileges or interaction because the consent text omits that consequence.
