Bluetooth information disclosure via missing parser increment
Published Dec 13, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Android 10 through 13 allows physically proximate attackers to disclose information over Bluetooth. BNEP_ConnectResp in bnep_api.cc fails to advance parser state correctly while consuming pending BNEP extension data. Exploitation requires Bluetooth proximity but needs no privileges or user interaction, and the reported consequence is limited to information disclosure.
