Local file disclosure via prefix-matched share URI
Published Mar 24, 2023 · Updated Feb 28, 2025
Information disclosure in Android 11, 12, 12L, and 13 allows local users to read unintended files through a crafted Bluetooth share URI. BluetoothOppUtility.isBluetoothShareUri accepts any URI string beginning with the Bluetooth share content URI instead of requiring an exact authority match. Exploitation requires user interaction but no additional execution privileges, and exposes file contents without integrity or availability impact.
