Local network-data disclosure via exposed ip utility
Published Sep 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in Android kernel SELinux policy allows local users to read network data through the ip utility. The system-app SEPolicy grants access to the ip utility through an insecure default permission, exposing network configuration data. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access, needs no user interaction, and does not grant data modification or service interruption.
