CVE-2022-2036Network attack vector

Stored script execution via incomplete URL entity decoding

Published Jun 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Stored XSS in RosarioSIS before 9.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in another user's browser through a crafted URL. PreparePHP_SELF.fnc.php decoded URL entities without the ENT_QUOTES and ENT_HTML5 flags before filtering inline JavaScript, allowing encoded script syntax to survive filtering and persist. A low-privileged account and victim interaction are required; the injected script executes with the victim's session data and privileges.
