Local tethering-interface disclosure via missing permission check
Published Aug 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in Google Android 13 ConnectivityService allows local users to learn tethering interfaces through a network-permission bypass. ConnectivityService returns tethering-interface information without enforcing the required network permission. A local low-privileged process can exploit the missing check without user interaction, exposing interface details but not changing them.
