Installed-app disclosure via undisclosed Framework side channel
Published Aug 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in Android 13 Framework allows local users to determine whether an app is installed without query permissions. Google has not disclosed the affected Framework API or the observable operation that forms the side channel. A locally installed app with ordinary execution privileges can infer package presence without user interaction, exposing application inventory but not app data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
