Installed-package disclosure via missing permission check
Published Aug 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Missing authorization in PackageManager in Google Cloud Android 13 allows local users to disclose installed packages without interaction. PackageManager returns installed-package information without enforcing the permission check that should restrict access to that inventory. A locally executing application needs no additional execution privileges, and the documented impact is limited to package-list confidentiality.
