Local privilege escalation via spoofed chooser request
Published Aug 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper input validation in Android 13 KeyChain allows local users with System execution privileges to escalate privileges without interaction. KeyChain accepts a spoofed keychain chooser activity request without adequately validating that the request is legitimate. Exploitation requires local access and existing System execution privileges; the public record does not identify the higher privileges ultimately gained.
