Private MIDI device disclosure via missing UID check
Published Aug 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Permission bypass in Android 13 Media Framework allows local users to learn about private MIDI devices without user interaction. MidiService.getDeviceStatus returned a device's status without enforcing the private device owner's UID restriction. An ordinary local app could therefore discover the presence and status of private MIDI devices registered by another UID, without gaining data-modification or service-control capabilities.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
