Published Jan 24, 2023 · Updated Apr 2, 2025
Tapjacking in Android Automotive OS 10 through 12 allows local users to trigger a factory reset through a deceptive overlay. The attack requires user interaction on the vehicle display, and the resulting reset interrupts service without reported data disclosure or modification.
