CVE-2022-2020Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Browser script execution via unsanitized System Name field

Published Jun 7, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

Cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Prison Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through the System Name field. The System Name handler accepts an image tag with an onerror attribute and renders the value as executable page markup rather than neutralizing it. Administrator privileges are required to supply the value, and a victim must load the affected page; execution remains within that victim's browser context.
