CVE-2022-20159

Local information disclosure via ASN.1 bounds check

Published Jun 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in Google Titan M's ASN.1 EC key parser allows local users with System privileges to disclose security-module memory. The asn1_ec_pkey_parse routine in acropora/crypto/asn1_common.c performs an incorrect bounds check while parsing EC key data, permitting a read beyond the intended boundary. Exploitation requires System execution privileges and no user interaction; the disclosed memory contents are unspecified.
