CVE-2022-2014Network attack vector

Code execution via evaluated stylesheet expressions

Published Jun 8, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Code injection in draw.io before 19.0.2 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript when a user opens a crafted diagram file. The mxStylesheetCodec decoder passes text from stylesheet add nodes to mxUtils.eval because the global allowEval switch defaults to true. Opening attacker-supplied diagram content is required, after which the script runs in the draw.io application context and can affect data available to that context.
