CVE-2022-20119

Local information disclosure via uninitialized graphics data

Published May 10, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Information disclosure in the Android kernel allows local users to read sensitive data from uninitialized Display/Graphics memory. The private_handle_t structure in mali_gralloc_buffer.h uses data that was not initialized before use, exposing residual memory contents. Exploitation requires local low-privileged execution on an affected device, needs no user interaction, and has no reported integrity or availability impact.
