Integer overflow in the MediaTek USB preloader on listed chipsets running Android 10.0 through 12.0 allows attackers to escalate privileges. The USB preloader performs integer arithmetic that can overflow and drive an out-of-bounds memory write. Exploitation requires physical access and user interaction, but no existing execution privileges, and the resulting memory corruption enables local privilege escalation.
