Credential disclosure via insecure webserver transport
Published Aug 31, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Cleartext credential transmission in AutomationDirect C-more EA9 before 6.73 allows remote attackers to obtain valid login credentials. The HTTP webserver uses an undisclosed insecure mechanism to carry credentials from the client to the server without TLS protection. Network access to an enabled webserver and observation of a legitimate login are required; exposed credentials permit login as that user.
