Published Feb 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use-after-free in MediaTek chipset Bluetooth on Android 8.1, 9.0, 10.0, 11.0, and 12.0 allows local users to gain privileges. MediaTek has not disclosed the affected Bluetooth function or the lifetime error that leaves freed memory accessible. Exploitation requires local access but no user interaction or additional execution privileges; it elevates privileges and can crash the Bluetooth service.
