Published May 10, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Elevation of privilege in Android 10 through 12L allows local users to briefly view content beneath the lockscreen via a race condition. KeyguardServiceWrapper and related functions can transiently expose the locked activity when a Guest user is enabled. Exploitation needs no additional execution privileges or user interaction, but requires local access to an affected Android device.
