Unauthenticated directory data disclosure via optimized filters

Access control bypass in 389 Directory Server 2.0 allows remote attackers to read restricted directory data through crafted LDAP filters. The LDAP filter optimizer accepts a shortcut condition without preserving the ACI check, so a crafted query returns entries or attributes that its anonymous requester cannot search. No credentials or user interaction are required; exposed data can include userPassword hashes and other sensitive directory values.
