Reflected XSS via unsanitized AJAX parameter
Published Jul 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Awin Product Data Feeds before 1.8 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim browser via an AJAX request. The WordPress plugin's get_sw_product AJAX action reflects the title parameter without sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires a victim to open a crafted URL; the script executes with that user's WordPress session privileges and can alter page actions.
