Browser script execution via unescaped tracking parameter
Published Jul 17, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in Halyra CDI before 5.1.9 allows remote attackers to run script in a visitor's browser through an AJAX request. The cdi_collect_follow AJAX action returns the trk parameter without sanitization or output escaping. No account is required, but a victim must follow a crafted URL; script runs in the site's origin and can read or alter browser-accessible data.
