CVE-2022-1931Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Message-data alteration via unvalidated record references

Published May 31, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Incorrect synchronization in Trudesk before 1.2.3 allows remote authenticated users to alter message data through the messaging API. The apiMessages.send handler updated a client-selected conversation and created a message with client-supplied conversation and owner identifiers without first resolving and validating either referenced record. A valid account and network access to the API are required; the public record does not identify a narrower role or fully describe the resulting effects.
