Browser script execution via unsanitized chat messages
Published May 31, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Trudesk before 1.2.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted chat message. Before the upstream patch, the message schema saved body content without a length cap or server-side plain-text sanitization. A high-privileged authenticated user can store crafted markup, and script executes when another user views the conversation.
