Stored script injection via nonce-free settings update
Published Jun 13, 2022 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
CSRF in miguelo2008 ToolBar to Share 2.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject stored scripts through forged settings requests. The plugin_toolbar_comparte settings page accepts configuration changes without validating a WordPress nonce, allowing attacker-controlled script content to be saved. Exploitation requires a site administrator with an active session to follow an attacker-controlled link; the saved script then executes during subsequent page views.
