Settings modification via unverified administrative POST
Published Jun 20, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in introspectif WPlite 1.3.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter plugin settings via a crafted web page. The options-general.php?page=wplite.php endpoint accepts update_wplite_options and disabled_submenu_items POST fields without verifying an anti-CSRF token. A logged-in administrator must visit attacker-controlled content; successful exploitation changes which WordPress controls the plugin hides.
