Stored XSS via unprotected settings update
Published Jun 20, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Tarkan Akdam Multi-page Toolkit 2.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to store script through settings. The settings handler accepts a cross-origin POST without a CSRF token and saves unsanitized mp1_firstpagetext and seperator_code values that are later rendered without escaping. An administrator must be logged in and visit attacker-controlled content; the stored payload then executes in browsers that view affected plugin output.
