CVE-2022-1805Network attack vector

Session compromise via incomplete SHA256 verification

Published Jul 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Improper certificate validation in Teradici PCoIP Zero Client Firmware 22.04 and earlier allows man-in-the-middle attackers to compromise sessions. The Amazon WorkSpaces connection path does not fully verify the SHA256 value presented by the AWS session provisioner before establishing a session. Man-in-the-middle attackers must occupy the network path between the zero client and provisioner; the resulting interception can expose, alter, or interrupt the remote session.
