Host file disclosure via unvalidated VMI paths

Path traversal in KubeVirt 0.20 through 0.55.0 allows remote authenticated users to read host files via crafted VMI storage paths. VMI path fields accept traversal sequences, while containerDisk and hot-plugged PVC content can supply symlinks that are mounted into virt-launcher. Exploitation requires permission to create VMIs and exposes files readable publicly or by UID or GID 107; SELinux limits most attempts, and /proc/self paths are inaccessible.
