Denial of service in Rockwell Automation Logix Controllers allows remote attackers to trigger a major nonrecoverable fault. A malformed Class 3 CIP message over a cached connection modifies a message instruction control structure and faults the controller. No authentication or user interaction is required, and recovery requires clearing the fault and redownloading the user project.
