Account compromise via weak password acceptance
Published May 20, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Weak password requirements in Trudesk before 1.2.2 allow remote attackers to compromise accounts by guessing weak passwords. Account-creation and password-change handlers accept passwords without server-side strength validation, while the client requires only six characters. The attacker must identify and successfully guess an existing user's password; exposed accounts inherit that user's access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
