Stored XSS via unprotected settings update
Published Jul 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Pagebar2 before 2.70 allows remote attackers to store script through an administrator's browser. The options page accepts a cross-origin POST without a CSRF nonce and stores fields such as post_pbText without sanitizing injected markup. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to load attacker-controlled content; the stored payload executes for later visitors.
