Unauthenticated DoS via crafted packet
Published Jul 12, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Pyramid Solutions EtherNet/IP kits through 4.4.0 allows remote attackers to cause denial of service via crafted packets. The EtherNet/IP Adapter and Scanner stacks write packet-controlled data beyond an allocated buffer when parsing a specially crafted packet. No authentication or user interaction is required on the network path; successful exploitation can interrupt the affected protocol service, with no reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
