Session data theft via unescaped table exports
Published May 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Bootstrap Table before 1.20.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute script when a user exports a crafted table. The Table Export extension passes cell HTML through its onCellHtmlData path while forcing escape off, so attacker-controlled markup reaches generated export content without neutralization. The application must enable exportOptions.htmlContent, and a user must trigger an export; execution can disclose session cookies or other page-accessible data.
