CVE-2022-1721Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated file disclosure via unrestricted resource lookup

Published May 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Path traversal in draw.io before 18.0.5 allows remote attackers to read local files from the deployed web application. WellKnownServlet removes the dot from the request URI and passes the resulting attacker-controlled path to getResourceAsStream without restricting it to the intended well-known file. An unauthenticated HTTP request can therefore disclose files readable through the web application's servlet context, without altering data or interrupting service.
