HTTP request smuggling in Go net/http before 1.17.12 and 1.18.0 through 1.18.3 allows remote attackers to desynchronize requests. The transferReader.parseTransferEncoding path trims surrounding whitespace and therefore treats a carriage-return-prefixed "chunked" value as valid. Exploitation requires an intermediate server that also accepts the invalid header, allowing inconsistent request-boundary interpretation.
