CVE-2022-1703Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via management input injection

Published Jun 3, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

OS command injection in SonicWall SMA 100 10.2.0.9-41sv and 10.2.1.4-31sv and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The management interface fails to neutralize special elements in authenticated input before incorporating that input into an operating-system command; SonicWall has not identified the affected request handler. Valid management credentials and network access to the interface are required, and successful injection permits command execution or can interrupt service through denial of service.
