CVE-2022-1698Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Service exhaustion via unrestricted password length

Published May 12, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Denial of service in causefx Organizr before 2.1.2000 allows remote attackers to exhaust server resources with an oversized password. The addUser and createUser paths accepted passwords without a length check, allowing repeated oversized inputs to consume enough processing capacity to deny service. No authenticated session or user interaction is required; repeated requests interrupt application availability without a reported data impact.
