Administrator-level SQL injection via unescaped product identifier
Published Jun 6, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Five Minute Webshop 1.3.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to modify limited database data via a product ID. The admin edit-product route inserts the id query parameter into an SQL statement without sanitizing or escaping it, so crafted expressions change the query. Administrator access to the WordPress dashboard is required; the public proof of concept demonstrates database-side expression evaluation through a time-delay query.
