CVE-2022-1667Network attack vector

PLC reboot via browser-accessible PHP action

Published Jun 24, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025

Improper workflow enforcement in Sécheron SEPCOS firmware allows remote attackers to reboot the PLC through its embedded web interface. The S-Web interface relies on client-side JavaScript to gate a browser-accessible PHP reboot action, so direct function execution or a request to that script bypasses the control. Network access to the embedded web server is sufficient; no authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation interrupts PLC availability by rebooting it.
