CVE-2022-1653Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Plugin configuration modification via missing CSRF checks

Published Jun 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in Social Share Buttons by Supsystic before 2.2.4 allows remote attackers to alter plugin data via forged requests. AJAX routes and administrative pages accept state-changing requests without CSRF checks, including project and network add, delete, rename, and settings operations. Exploitation requires a logged-in WordPress user to load attacker-controlled content, after which requests use that user's session to modify plugin configuration.
