Heap corruption via Web UI use-after-free
Published Jul 26, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use-after-free in Google Chrome Web UI Diagnostics before 101.0.4951.64 allows remote attackers to corrupt heap memory through UI actions on ChromeOS. Web UI Diagnostics accesses memory after its associated object has been freed; Google has not published the affected object or code path. Exploitation requires a user to perform specific UI interactions on ChromeOS; published sources establish heap corruption but not code execution or sandbox escape.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
