Settings tampering via nonce-free admin POST handlers
Published Jun 20, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in GiveWP Seamless Donations before 5.1.9 allows remote attackers to alter settings via an administrator's browser. The admin-post.php handlers for seamless_donations_tab_templates and seamless_donations_tab_settings accept settings POST data without a CSRF nonce check. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to visit an attacker-controlled page, and the forged requests can rewrite donation email and payment settings.
