Notification-setting changes via unprotected administrative request
Published Jun 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in MarvinLabs Email Users 4.8.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter user notification settings. The wp-admin/admin.php mailusers-user-settings action processes state-changing user and notification-action parameters without a CSRF token check. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator's browser to load the crafted URL, after which notification settings for arbitrary users are changed.
