Stored script execution via unfiltered page content
Published May 5, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Stored XSS in Bludit 3.13.1 allows remote authenticated users to run script in a reader's browser through crafted page content. The /admin/new-content endpoint accepts the content parameter and stores it for later page rendering without correctly filtering injected script. Valid CMS credentials and subsequent viewing of the published page are required; the script executes in the site origin and can alter displayed content or access browser-exposed data.
