Stored XSS via unescaped quote fields
Published May 30, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in the Quotes llama WordPress plugin before 1.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in an administrator's browser. The quote editor and CSV importer store Quote and Image URL values without sanitizing or escaping them before the Quotes List page renders them. Administrator access can submit the fields directly, while context-dependent attackers can achieve the same result by inducing an administrator to import a malicious CSV file.
