Coupon disclosure via unrestricted singular GraphQL query
Published Jan 16, 2024 · Updated Jun 20, 2025
Improper access control in WPGraphQL for WooCommerce before 0.12.4 allows remote attackers to disclose coupon codes and values via GraphQL. The singular coupon field accepts predictable base64-encoded shop_coupon IDs and returns amount and code, while only the aggregate coupons field enforces access control. No authentication or user interaction is required; iterating the short numeric IDs discloses valid coupon codes and their values but does not modify shop data.
