Path traversal in Scout before 4.52 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files through the remote static-file endpoint. The remote_static view passes the request's file parameter to Flask send_file without restricting the resolved path to an authorized case file. The endpoint is network-reachable without authentication, and successful traversal discloses files readable by the Scout service account.
