CVE-2022-1545Network attack vector

Confidential note disclosure via unchecked tagged-member access

Published May 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Improper authorization in affected GitLab CE/EE releases allows remote authenticated users to read confidential API note details. The notes API exposes a confidential note's details to a project member tagged in that note without enforcing the note's confidentiality authorization. Exploitation requires project membership and a tag in the confidential note; the reported consequence is disclosure of that note's details.
