Remote code execution via unsanitized synonym lookup
Published Apr 29, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in RTX before checkpoint_2022-04-20 allows remote attackers to execute code through ARAX-UI Synonym Lookup requests. The get_nodes_like function uses synonym-derived values in an SQLite lookup without removing attacker-supplied double quotes. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful injection grants code execution with the ARAX-UI server process's privileges.
